FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Longwood women's basketball team will take on Duquesne in the first round of the 2025 Triple Crown Sports Postseason WNIT on Thursday, March 20 at Duquesne's UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

The matchup between the Lancers and Dukes will tip at 6 p.m.

This marks the 27th edition of the Postseason WNIT, powered by Triple Crown Sports and first held in 1998. The tournament field is made up of 11 automatic qualifiers and 37 at-large programs, flexing a mix of Power 4 conferences as well as ascending mid-major programs.

The winner of Thursday's matchup will take on Miami University, which received a first-round bye.

Winners of six of its last eight games, including making a run to the Big South Conference title game for the third time in history, Longwood (21-12) received an automatic bid into the field. Duquesne (19-12) fell in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament, receiving an at-large selection.

It is Longwood's third postseason selection at the NCAA Division I level in women's basketball.

The game will be the second in as many seasons between the teams. Duquesne won, 89-69, on Dec. 14, 2023 at La Roche's Kerr Fitness Center. The Lancers took the only other game with the Dukes, 77-76, at Willett Hall on Nov. 17, 2021.
