Charleston Southern and Winthrop picked up series wins on Saturday, as the Bucs swept a doubleheader with Presbyterian, while the Eagles won the series finale at Gardner-Webb.

The Charleston Southern softball team provided their two most complete games on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Presbyterian Blue Hose in their doubleheader and taking the series 2-1.  The Buccaneers (12-16, 2-1 in conference) took two from the Blue Hose (18-15, 3-3 in conference) behind two games that ended with walk offs, winning game two by a 10-2 score in five innings, followed by a 9-1 win in six innings in the rubber game.

In the early game, Gardner-Webb used a huge fifth inning to pull away, eventually picking up the win by a 7-2 final. In the fifth inning alone, the 'Dawgs scored five runs on six hits of the seven runs on eight hits total in the game.  After Winthrop took the lead in the top of the fifth, Gardner-Webb hit back for five runs in the fifth and seven unanswered. 

The Eagles bounced back to win the second game 4-2.  In the top of the second, Tabitha Perry hit a flare to left that fell in between three players as she raced around to make it a double
Emma Roberson drew a walk and then Emma Jackson stepped in and took the first pitch over the fence in right center for a 3-0 lead.
