Big South Announces Seedings for 2025 Women's Golf Championship
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) –- High Point University has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Big South Women’s Golf Championship, which will be hosted at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C., beginning Sunday. The Panthers receive the No. 1 seed based on its current Clippd national ranking of 88, the highest among the nine Big South women’s golf programs.
UNC Asheville is ranked No. 156 in the nation by Clippd and receives the No. 2 seed, ahead of three-seeded
Radford’s ranking of 173.
Charleston Southern earns the No. 4 seed with its national ranking of 180.
Gardner-Webb, ranked No. 185, will be the No. 5 seed in the championship, with
Longwood (198) receiving the No. 6 seed.
USC Upstate receives the No. 7 seed (No. 220), ahead of
Winthrop (No. 8 – 223) and
Presbyterian College (No. 9 – 238).
The Big South Women’s Golf Championship will be held at the Ocean Creek Golf Course as part of the Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort for the second consecutive year, and will utilize a par 72, 6,032-yard layout to determine this year’s champion. The 2025 Big South Women’s Golf Championship begins Sunday, April 13 with a morning practice round followed by the first round of competition in the afternoon. A three-day, 54-hole stroke play event will be held April 13-15, followed by Match Play Semifinal & Final rounds on Wednesday, April 16 featuring the top four team finishers from stroke play. Championship action can be followed online via
Leaderboard King’s Live Scoring platform. The 2025 champion from Match Play will receive the Big South’s automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows, and is subject to change due to weather:

Meanwhile, the Big South Conference will present its 2025 All-Conference Team, All-Freshman Team, All-Academic Team, All-Championship Team and the annual award winners on Tuesday, April 15 following the 54-hole stroke event at the post-Championship awards ceremony.

The team and runner-up trophies will be presented at the conclusion of Wednesday’s Match Play competition.
