Big South Announces 2025 Men's Tennis Championship Seedings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) -- For the third consecutive year, Gardner-Webb University has earned the No. 1 seed in the Big South Men’s Tennis Championship, it was announced this afternoon.  The Runnin’ Bulldogs finished the 2025 regular-season as the outright Big South champion with their 3-0 league record, and are seeking the program’s first Big South Tournament crown.
 
Defending champion UNC Asheville finished second in the Big South standings at 2-1 to earn the No. 2 seed, while Longwood is the No. 3 seed based on its 1-2 conference finish.  Presbyterian College received the fourth and final seed with its 0-3 league record.
 
The 2025 Big South Men’s Tennis Championship will be played Thursday-Friday, April 17-18 at the Lexington County Tennis Complex in Lexington, S.C.  The Big South’s Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship.  The Championship schedule is as follows and is subject to change:
 
Thursday, April 17 – Semifinals
No. 1 Gardner-Webb vs. No. 4 Presbyterian, 11:00am
No. 2 UNC Asheville vs. No. 3 Longwood, 2:00pm
 
Friday, April 18 – Championship
1/4 Winner vs. 2/3 Winner, 3:00pm
