Big South Announces Seedings for 2025 Men's Golf Championship
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) –- Longwood University has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Big South Men’s Golf Championship, which will be hosted at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C. The Lancers receive the No. 1 seed based on its current Clippd national ranking of 150, the highest among the eight Big South men’s golf programs.
High Point is ranked No. 188 in the nation by Clippd and receives the No. 2 seed, just ahead of defending champion and three-seeded
Winthrop’s ranking of 210.
USC Upstate earns the No. 4 seed with its national ranking of 226.
Gardner-Webb, ranked No. 233, will be the No. 5 seed in the championship, with
Radford (236) receiving the No. 6 seed.
Charleston Southern receives the No. 7 seed (No. 252), with
Presbyterian at No. 8 (255).
The Big South Men’s Golf Championship will be held at the Ocean Creek Golf Course as part of the Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort for the second consecutive year, and will utilize a par 71, 6,526-yard layout to determine this year’s champion. The 2025 Big South Men’s Golf Championship begins Sunday, April 20 with a morning practice round followed by the first and second rounds of competition on Monday, April 21. The final round of stroke play takes place on Tuesday, April 22, followed by Match Play Semifinal & Final rounds on Wednesday, April 23 featuring the top four team finishers from stroke play. Championship action can be followed online via
Leaderboard King’s Live Scoring platform. The 2025 champion from Match Play will receive the Big South’s automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows, and is subject to change due to weather:

Meanwhile, the Big South Conference will present its 2025 All-Conference Team, All-Freshman Team, All-Academic Team, All-Championship Team and the annual award winners on Tuesday, April 22 following the 54-hole stroke event at the post-Championship awards ceremony.
The team and runner-up trophies will be presented at the conclusion of Wednesday’s Match Play competition.
