Big South Women's Lacrosse Summary - April 16
Furman, High Point and Winthrop all won on Wednesday to remain in the top half of the Big South standings.
FURMAN 22, PRESBYTERIAN 11 | BOX SCORE
Anna Roser and Sofija Buzelis reached the top of the Furman record book on Wednesday evening as the Paladins won their eighth consecutive home contest with a 22-11 victory over the Presbyterian College Blue Hose in Big South Conference women's lacrosse action at Paladin Stadium. Furman reaches the 10-win plateau for the sixth time in school history while improving to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the Big South. With the loss, Presbyterian drops to 4-11 on the season and 1-5 in conference play.

In the final regular-season home game of the season, the High Point Panthers women's lacrosse team took down the Wofford Terriers 24-10. The Panthers stayed hot from start to finish with a complete team win. High Point was led by Reese Dowgiallo, who finished with a career-high nine points (four goals and five assists) to surpass her 100th career point. Shannon Smith and Esprit Cha both finished with four goals apiece, while Allie Connally added another six points and eight draw controls.
WINTHROP 10, GARDNER-WEBB 6 | BOX SCORE
Balanced scoring led Winthrop to a victory at Gardner-Webb Wednesday evening. Gardner-Webb scored first at the 9:30 mark of the opening quarter. Christina Warren scored on a free position attempt to tie it up at 1-1 a minute later. The Runnin' Bulldogs broke the tie with less than seven minutes to go in the first quarter. Emily Hollinger then made it 2-2 just before the end of the frame. Gabby Pierpont gave Winthrop their first lead of the day off a rebound on a free position attempt at the 11:32 mark of the second quarter.
