Big South Announces Men's Tennis Players of the Week - April 2

Numa Lemieux-Monette (Montreal, Canada) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week, while Longwood's
Marko Mrdak (Perth, Australia) is the Men's Freshman of the Week for matches played March 24-30, it was announced today.
Lemieux-Monette defeated UNC Asheville's Olle Sonesson by scores of 6-2, 7-5 (3-0) in the No. 3 singles flight to clinch the match for the Runnin' Bulldogs. He added a victory at the No. 2 doubles flight to help his team clinch the doubles point. The victory over UNC Asheville gave Gardner-Webb their third straight Big South regular season title.
Mrdak earned a comeback victory against William & Mary's Sean Joseph (1-6, 6-4, 7-6) on the No. 5 singles court and teamed up with Alejandro Uribe to win on the No. 3 doubles flight. In the conference matchup against Presbyterian he defeated Eduardo Valentin (4-6, 6-2, 6-1) on court No. 5.
