Big South Announces Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 2

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions this past weekend of March 27-30.

Charleston Southern’s Jaden Kingsley (Chapin, S.C.) was voted Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, High Point teammates Alex Constantinou (Medford, N.J.) and Shaun Thomas (Pinehurst, N.C.) shared the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor, while HPU’s Dominiq Northington (Stockbridge, Ga.) was selected the Men’s Freshman of the Week.
 
Kingsley recorded a personal-best time of 28:40.56 in the 10,000m run at the Raleigh Relays, the fifth-fastest time in Big South history, and second-fastest in school history.  He claimed 25th in the event which had more than 110 runners.
 
Constantinou and Thomas each broke the program record in the high jump as both cleared 2.15m at the Raleigh Relays.  Constantinou placed second, with Thomas finishing third, and the duo share the top mark in the conference this year.
 
Northington finished 20th in the 110m Hurdles with a PR time of 14.51, which is the top mark in the league this year.  He also ran a personal-best of 21.55 in the 200m (fourth in the Big South), and was part of the Panthers’ 4x100m relay that finished 10th overall in 40.78.
