Charleston Southern swept a doubleheader with Radford on Saturday to sweep the series with the Highlanders.  USC Upstate, Presbyterian and Winthrop each clinched their respective Big South series as well.

Charleston Southern completed the weekend sweep over Radford on Saturday evening, taking both games in the doubleheader. The Bucs claimed the first by a 9-5 scoreline and took the other at 12-5.  The Buccaneers now stand at 5-7 in league play and pick up their first Big South weekend sweep of the season. They have won five of their past six league contests, taking two of three from Winthrop last weekend.

Competing under the bright lights of national television for the third straight season, USC Upstate baseball secured a series victory as it set the tone early and carried its momentum throughout the night in a 7-2 wire-to-wire victory over High Point on ESPNU Saturday night.  Taking the ball with a 4-0 lead in the home half of the first, redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Amp Phillips fed off his team's offense, establishing his presence with a pair of strikeouts in the first frame. He turned the momentum into a career-long 7.0 innings of work, striking out a career-best 11 hitters—the second-most strikeouts by an Upstate pitcher in a single game this season. He punched out a batter in each of his seven innings tossed, striking out multiple hitters in the first three stanzas and his final frame.

PRESBYTERIAN 3, LONGWOOD 2 | BOX SCORE
Backed by a dominant outing on the mound from Tristan McGregor, the Presbyterian College baseball team (16-16, Big South: 8-3) edged Longwood (8-23, Big South: 3-5) by a score of 3-2 on Saturday evening to secure the weekend series at the PC Baseball Complex.

WINTHROP 11, UNC ASHEVILLE 9 | BOX SCORE
Winthrop rallied from a six-run deficit in the seventh inning to win the second game of the series with UNC Asheville Saturday afternoon.
