CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 3, RADFORD 1 | BOX SCORE
Game 1 - The Radford softball program earned their third straight Big South series win Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader split against Charleston Southern winning game one 8-2 before falling in game two 3-1.  Behind another great pitching show in game one, Radford would have their best offensive showing of the weekend to seal the series. After a quiet first, Radford struck in the second after three straight walks loaded the bases. Emily Smith would earn an RBI single that gave Radford the 1-0 edge.

Game 2 -  Riley Lauffer went the distance on Saturday, allowing just one unearned run as the Buccaneers took the final game of the three-game series against the Radford Highlanders by a 3-1 score.  After falling 8-2 in game one of the doubleheader, the Buccaneers (16-20, 5-4 in conference) avoided the sweep holding the Highlanders (21-19, 7-2 in conference) to just two hits.

Maggie Hiatt was a big-time source of offense on Saturday for Longwood softball, and the Lancers swept a doubleheader against Presbyterian 4-3 and 9-1.  Hiatt swatted two home runs on the day and racked up seven RBI through the two games to help the Lancers (11-22, 5-3 Big South) extend their winning streak to five straight games.  The Lancer pitching staff also combined to limit Presbyterian (19-18, 3-5 Big South) to four runs over 12 innings of work while striking out nine.
