Big South Announces Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week - April 8

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com– Furman freshman attacker Lily Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) has been named the Big South Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while High Point sophomore defender Julia Dustin (Clarksville, Md.) is the Defensive Player of the Week for games played March 31-April 6, it was announced today. In addition, Wofford midfielder Olivia Graebner (Yardley, Pa.) has been named the Freshman of the Week.
 
Toole totaled 15 points on 10 goals and five assists in two games for the Paladins. On Wednesday, she broke Furman’s single-game points record with 12 against Wofford, scoring a career-high eight goals with a career-high four assists in a tight 20-18 victory over the Terriers. She scored four goals in each half, two of which came in the fourth quarter, including the game winner. She followed up with three points on two goals and one assist Friday night at High Point while also adding a ground ball. 
 
Dustin helped limit the nation’s top shooting percentage team to five goals through three quarters as High Point defeated Furman Friday night, 18-11. She caused one turnover, scooped a ground ball and added a draw control. She was also active on the eight-meter, blocking shots to force the Paladins to go 0-for-4 on free-position attempts as the Panthers handed Furman its first Big South loss of the season. Earlier in the week, Dustin also caused a career-high three turnovers and had two ground balls against Longwood as she anchored a High Point defense that held the Lancers to just six goals.
 
Graebner tallied nine goals across two games for Wofford, adding five ground balls and two caused turnovers. She opened the week with a career-high six-goal performance against Furman, including a first-quarter hat trick. She added another goal in the third before scoring twice in the final two minutes as the Terriers pushed for a late comeback. Graebner followed that effort with another hat trick, scoring three goals on six shots to help lead Wofford to a 12–6 road win at Longwood.
