High Point's Allie Connally Set to Play in 2025 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game
By High Point Athletics
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — On Wednesday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced the roster of the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game as High Point University's
Allie Connally was selected to represent the Panthers.
Connally becomes the first HPU senior to play in the game since Abby Hormes in 2022. She will play with the "Blue All-Stars" and be coached by Delaware's Amy Altig alongside seniors from the likes of Clemson, Penn State, Ohio State, James Madison, and others.
The Division I All-Star Game will be played at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, May 31 at 3 p.m.
During her four-year career in Purple & White, Connally played in 45 games with 29 starts. She scored 74 goals and dished out 46 assists for 120 points while winning 146 draw controls. In her final season, the attacker surpassed the 100-point and 100-draw control milestones and became the single-game record holder for draw controls (16) in the Big South semifinals against Furman.
With a team-leading 115 draw controls as a senior, Connally is now second with the most draw controls recorded in a single season which trails only Hormes' 124. Additionally, she had a team-tying best 72 points, second-most assists (32) and third-best in goals (40).
Impressively, Connally registered all her points — minus two — as a junior and senior as she became a vital piece of the attack unit that was top five in the nation: scoring offense (2nd), shot percentage (3rd), free position percentage (5th), and points per game (5th).
