High Point's Élodie Lalonde Named to Volleyball Canada Women’s U21 National Team

HAMILTON, Ontario — High Point University's Élodie Lalonde has been selected to the Volleyball Canada Women's U21 National Team to compete at the U21 NORCECA Pan Am Cup in Costa Rica from July 20-28 and the U21 FIVB World Championship in Indonesia from August 7-17.

The HPU sophomore outside hitter was one of 12 Canadians handpicked from an 18-woman U21 Training Camp at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where they faced off July 14-19 for roster spots.

A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Lalonde and her teammates will open the NORCECA U21 Pan American Cup in Costa Rica against the United States on July 22, while facing Chile on July 23 and Puerto Rico on July 24.

Volleyball Canada will then compete at the Women's U21 World Championships in Indonesia, beginning on August 6 against Argentina. Team Canada will also face host team Indonesia on August 8 followed with matchups against Vietnam on August 9 and a doubleheader versus Puerto Rico and Serbia on August 11.
