Big South Announces Addition of Jason Aigner to Conference Staff
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today the addition of
Jason Aigner to the newly-created position of Assistant Director for Communications & Branding.
Aigner served the Conference Office as the Communications & Branding Assistant intern in 2024-25, where he supported day-to-day coverage of several sports, as well as social media and content creation. In his new role, Aigner will be the primary communications contact for volleyball, cross country, track & field, tennis, women’s lacrosse and softball. In addition, he will assist with men’s and women’s basketball, serve as the primary photographer at Big South Championships, and will continue to enhance the Big South’s social and digital media offerings.
“Jason has proven to be a versatile asset to our Communications & Branding team, contributing in multiple roles to elevate our daily operations and storytelling efforts,” said Big South Assistant Commissioner-Communications & Branding
Jordan Parry. “He will continue to be an invaluable part of our work to promote Big South student-athletes and member institutions, and we couldn’t be more excited for him to keep making a meaningful impact.”
Prior to joining the Big South staff, Aigner was a graduate assistant with George Washington University’s men’s basketball program, where he was the lead team photographer while assisting with day-to-day team operations and player development while earning his Master’s degree in Sports Management. Aigner’s experience also includes a role with the well-known Nike Pro City Kenner League held at Georgetown University in the Summer of 2023. He served as the lead photography intern and was responsible for capturing photos for social media graphics and standalone posts.
A native of Fairfax, Va., Aigner attended Christopher Newport University where he was a four-year starter on the men’s basketball team. He graduated in 2022 as a double major in history and philosophy, with a minor in leadership, and was as a member of Chi Alpha Sigma Student-Athlete Honor Society.
