Gardner-Webb and High Point Men's Soccer Teams Enter National Top 25 Rankings
Following the first week of the 2025 men's soccer season, Gardner-Webb and High Point have entered the United Soccer Coaches Division I National Top 25 rankings. The Runnin' Bulldogs checked in at No. 20, while the Panthers entered at No. 13. Neither program was ranked in the national preseason polls.
High Point received 104 points to jump into the top-15 following its first 2-0 start since the 2020-21 season. The Panthers defeated No. 14/25 Georgetown in the season opener last Thursday, 2-1, before shutting out ETSU on the road Monday night, 1-0.
Gardner-Webb garnered 49 total points in this week's poll, just four points behind No. 19 UMKC. This marks the first time in the Division I era that Gardner-Webb has landed in the national poll.
