KANSAS CITY, Mo. — High Point University senior Brendan Krueger has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Men's Soccer Players to Watch (Midfielders) List as announced by the association on Friday.

A native from Clearwater, Fla., Krueger is the reigning Big South Conference Midfielder of the Year after a stellar junior campaign that featured many career-best feats.

For the first time in his career, he started in every game played (17) and recorded a team-leading 20 points behind a career-best six goals and eight assists. Krueger logged a career-high 1,343 minutes and scored his first collegiate game-winning goal in his first four-point match, where he netted a goal and dished out two assists, versus Longwood on October 11.

The standout midfielder joins fellow senior Jefferson Amaya, who was tabbed as a defender, as HPU men's soccer players on the national watch lists so far. Krueger and Amaya were also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Third Team a season ago.

The United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2024, who are scheduled to return for the 2025 season.
