Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Sept. 25

Caroline Patterson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while High Point’s
Makayla Grubb (Stafford, Va.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played Sept. 18-24, it was announced today.
Patterson shot an even-par 216 (75-69-72) at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic (par 72, 6,376 yards) and finished in a tie for 22nd out of 100 competitors. In a field that featured five Power Conference programs, Patterson tied for second overall in par-3 scoring (-3), and finished with 10 birdies overall.
Grubb tied for fifth at the Lady Paladin Invitational (par 72, 6,125 yards) with a 5-under 211 (69-69-73). She sunk nine birdies, was 6-under on the par-5 holes, and had a tournament-best 41 pars. Grubb was HPU’s top scorer and led the Panthers to a runner-up finish in the 16-team event.
