CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Presbyterian College’s Jeep Patrick (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) has been voted the Big South Preseason Men's Golfer of the Year, it was announced today.  The award is voted on by the league’s head coaches and is based on this past fall season’s results entering the 2026 spring campaign.

Patrick, the 2025 Big South Men’s Golf Freshman of the Year as well as the reigning Big South Individual Champion Medalist, finished the 2025 fall season with a league-best 70.00 scoring average in nine rounds (three events).  He had two Top 10 finishes -- including a victory at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate where he won with a 6-under par 207 (70-70-67).  Patrick tied for seventh at the season-opening Golfweek Fall Challenge with a 9-under par 207 (71-69-67), and finished even-par at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic.  Four of his nine rounds were in the 60s, including two rounds of 67.

The 2026 Big South Men's Golf Championship will again be contested at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C., and is scheduled for April 26-29.  The championship will feature 54 holes of stroke play (April 26-28) followed by a four-team Match Play Semifinal and Final on April 29 to determine the Big South’s automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
