Big South Men's Golfers of the Week - Oct. 16

James Rhodes (Columbia, S.C.) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 8-14, while Radford’s
Jett Leard (San Antonio, Texas) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week honoree, it was announced today.
Rhodes tied for 11th at the Elon Phoenix Invitational (par 71, 6,867 yards) with an 8-under par 205 (64-71-70) in recording his highest career finish. He opened with a career-low 64 in the first round, which is tied for the lowest 18-hole score in the Big South this season, and helped the Blue Hose finish fourth in the 17-team tournament -- the top finish among the five Big South teams competing. Rhodes had one eagle and 13 birdies, and tied for fifth in par-4 scoring (-5), and was 4-under on the par-5 holes.
Leard tied as the top finisher for the Highlanders at the Elon Phoenix Invitational as he carded a 6-under 207 (70-68-69) for a 17th-place on the 108-player leaderboard. He finished 7-under on the par-5 layouts, was 1-under on the par-4 holes, drained 14 birdies and recorded an eagle.
