Big South Men's Golfers of the Week - Oct. 8

Benson Blevins (Wytheville, Va.) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 1-7, while teammate
David Goode (Wytheville, Va.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week honoree, it was announced today.
Blevins placed eighth at the Testudo Cup (par 72, 7,099) with a 1-under par 215 (75-73-67) for his first career Top 10 finish. His final round 67 was a collegiate low and vaulted him 17 spots on the leaderboard. Blevins had 13 birdies (tied for seventh in the 78-player field), along with an eagle on the 483-yard No. 8 hole. He was 4-under on the par-5 holes and tied for third in par-4 scoring.
Goode tied for ninth at the Testudo Cup with an even-par 216 (72-72-72) for his second Top 10 finish in four starts this fall. He tallied 10 birdies in addition to two eagles. Goode was 7-under on the par-5 layouts to tie for seventh in that category.
