Big South Announces Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Feb. 18

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions during the weekend of Feb. 12-15.
 
High Point’s Tim Brown (Davidson, N.C.) was selected the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, with teammate Justin Sluijter (Arkel, Netherlands) tabbed the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week.  Charleston Southern’s Aden Price (Columbia, S.C.) earned Men’s Freshman of the Week honors.
 
Brown matched his personal-best in the 400m with a time of 47.33 at the Tiger Paw Invitational, which is the top performance in the Big South this season.
 
Sluijter placed fifth in the long jump at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a leap of 7.63m, which was his second-best mark of the season.
 
Price won the 200m and 400m at the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational.  He ran a season-best and conference-leading 21.30 in his 200m victory, and clocked a 47.97 in his 400m triumph.
