Will Jenkins (Neath, Wales) has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Jan. 26-Feb. 1, while Gardner-Webb’s
Adam Patry (Quebec, Canada) has been named the Men's Freshman of the Week, it was announced today.
Jenkins led the Highlanders in a 7-0 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. He teamed up with Soma Fukuhara to earn a 7-5 victory on the No. 1 doubles court. In singles, Jenkins defeated Joshua Oboniye (6-1,7-5) in straight-sets on the No. 1 court.
Patry teamed up with fellow freshman Noah Zeiger to pick up a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles versus Charlotte.
