CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – ESPNU will televise the Sunday, April 12 Radford at High Point baseball game at 3:00pm from Coy O. Williard Stadium in High Point, N.C., it was announced today by the conference office.  The broadcast will be the final game of the three-game conference series between the squads, as well as mark the Big South’s 21st all-time baseball appearance on the network.

To accommodate the ESPNU production, the game time has been changed from its original 1:00pm start.

High Point is the preseason Big South favorite for the second consecutive season.  The Panthers finished with the conference’s most overall wins last year with 39, and begin the 2026 slate at home on Feb. 13 against Saint Joseph’s.  High Point features four preseason All-Conference selections -- notably Big South Preseason Player of the Year Landen Johnson and Preseason Pitcher of the Year Wade Walton.  HPU is led by fifth-year head coach Joey Hammond, who guided the Panthers to the 2024 Big South Championship.

Radford was predicted fourth in the Big South preseason poll -- the Highlanders’ highest preseason ranking since 2022.  Radford’s 2026 lineup includes preseason All-Big South honorees Breckin Nace, Hunter Keen and Trey Ludy.  Head coach Alex Guerra, who played two seasons at Radford from 2010-11, begins his fourth-year leading the program, and received the NCAA’s Award of Valor in January.  The Highlanders open the 2026 campaign Feb. 13 with a three-game home series vs. Iona.
