Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - March 12

David Lafreniere (Ottawa, Ontario) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while Gardner-Webb’s
Jude Carper (Cornelius, N.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played March 5-11, it was announced today.
Lafreniere tied for fourth at the Surf Club Invitational (par 71, 6,604 yards) with a 10-under par 203 (68-65-70) for his best finish of the season. His second round 65 tied his season low, and he finished -8 on the par-5 layouts to tie for the tournament lead. Lafreniere carded 11 birdies overall along with two eagles.
Carper tied for 11th at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate (par 70, 6,617 yards) with a 1-under par 209 (67-74-68). His first round 67 tied his season low, and he recorded 10 birdies overall in finishing as Gardner-Webb’s top scorer.
