Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - March 26

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Longwood’s Madison Lehr (Mechanicsville, Va.) and UNC Asheville’s Breanna Hoese (Austin, Texas) have been named the Big South Women’s Co-Golfer of the Week, while Longwood’s Avery Nordman (Ottawa, Ontario) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played March 19-25, it was announced today.  
 
Lehr tied for sixth at the Nashville Invitational (par 72, 6,186 yards) with a 4-over 220 (75-72-73) for her third Top 10 finish of the season.  She led the 91-player field with 43 pars, and was among the leaders in par-3 scoring (T-6th, even) and par-4 scoring (T-6th, 3-over).
 
Hoese finished fifth at the Bentwater Women’s Collegiate (par 72, 6,159 yards) with an 11-over 227 (74-77-76).  She posted her highest finish of the season, and was the Bulldogs’ top scorer for the first time this year.  Hoese tied for the fourth-most birdies in the field with seven, and was among the leaders in par-4 scoring (4.23).
 
Nordman tied for 29th at the Nashville Invitational with a 12-over 228 (76-78-74) as she was the Lancers’ third-best finisher.  Her final round 74 moved her up eight spots on the leaderboard, and she helped Longwood to a fifth-place team standing in the 16-team event.
