Big South Announces Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 1
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions during March 26-29.
Charleston Southern’s
Aden Price (Columbia, S.C.) was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, while High Point’s
Drew Noblet (Waxhaw, N.C.) was the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honoree. CSU’s
Laden Beckwith (Knightdale, N.C.) was selected the Men’s Freshman of the Week.
Price ran a 46.28 in the 400m at the Raleigh Relays to claimed third out of 126 competitors in the event. His time ranks 14th in the country this season, is third in CSU history and 10th in the Big South record book. Price also clocked a 21.13 in the 200m for 10th-place.
Noblet was the runner-up in the javelin at the Davidson Relays with a PR distance of 65.86m. His effort is tops in the conference this year, and ranks 21st in the East Region.
Beckwith ran the Big South’s fastest 100m of the outdoor season with a personal-best time of 10.43 at the Raleigh Relays. He recorded an 11th-place finish out of 102 participants in the event. Beckwith also finished 10th among 104 competitors in the 200m dash with a time of 21.13.
