Big South Announces Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 15
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions during April 9-12.

Zamesha Myle (Kingstown, St. Vincent) was selected the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, while the Panthers’
Mya Hines (Suwanee, Ga.) earned Women’s Field Athlete of the Week accolades. UNC Asheville’s
Marika Dickel (Keezletown, Va.) was honored as the Women’s Freshman of the Week.
Myle placed 12th out of 56 competitors in the 100m dash at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational with a time of 11.65. She also ran the 200m in a Big South-leading time of 23.96 seconds to place 26th out of 87 entrants. Myle added a third-place performance in the triple jump with a distance of 12.91m.
Hines finished 10th in the heptathlon at the 44 Farms Invitational with a personal-best 5,141 points -- the fifth-highest score in Big South history. In the first event, she recorded a PR time of 14.45 in the 100m hurdles. She then jumped a personal-best 1.78m in the high jump, threw 10.81m in the shot put and finished the opening day with a personal-best 24.97 time in the 200m. The following day, Hines posted 5.37m in the long jump, threw the javelin 26.35m, and ran the 800m in 2:27.26.
Dickel placed second in the 3,000m Steeplechase at the Bulldog Invite with a time of 11:32.56 in her debut, which ranks fourth all-time in program history.
