Winthrop won twice over Longwood to extend its first-place lead in the Big South standings.  Radford swept Gardner-Webb, and Presbyterian won the series over Charleston Southern.

Notables -- A five-run seventh inning propelled Winthrop to the series-opening win ... Winthrop earned its fourth straight Big South Conference series after capturing an 8-6 victory on Saturday afternoon ... Since Longwood starting competing in the Big South in the 2013 season, this is the first time the Eagles have captured a conference series in Farmville.

Notables --  In the opener, Audrey Burton laced a three-run homer in the first inning and the Blue Hose broke a five-all tie with two runs in the home-half of the sixth ... PC got six runs from six different players and seven hits from seven different players to seize its fourth straight win, never trailing after an initial 5-run advantage in game two of the series ... The Bucs used a 6-run sixth inning to jump past the Blue Hose and take the series finale.
