Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - April 2

Avery Nordman (Ottawa Ontario) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while High Point’s
Makayla Grubb (Stafford, Va.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played March 25-April 1, it was announced today.
Nordman was the runner-up at The Mimosa Invitational (par 72, 6,274 yards) with a 6-over par 222 (72-74-76) for her best collegiate finish of the season and third Top 10 standing of 2025-26. She was tops in the 67-player field in par-3 scoring (3.08), tied for the overall lead with 10 birdies, and tied for sixth on the par-5 layouts (-2). Nordman helped the Lancers finish third as team and just two strokes off the winner.
Grubb tied for 16th at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (par 72, 6,217 yards) with a 6-over par 222 (73-79-70). Her final round 70 was bogey-free and vaulted her 16 spots up the leaderboard, and she tallied six birdies and 36 pars overall. Grubb helped the Panthers finish fourth in the 16-team field that featured five Power 4 programs, as HPU was two shots from No. 42 Indiana and ahead of No. 56-ranked Alabama and No. 68-ranked Penn State.
