Asheville's Caroline Patterson Remains in Contention at NCAA Chapel Hill Regional

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Caroline Patterson continued her strong play at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional on Tuesday (May 12), carding a second-round 72 (+2) at The UNC Finley Golf Course.

Patterson sits tied for 20th overall through two rounds with a 36-hole total of 142 (+2). After opening the tournament with an even-par 70 on Monday, Patterson followed with a steady round on Tuesday that included three birdies. She played even through the first nine holes and entered the final hole 3-over-par before earning a birdie to improve to +2 for the day.

The individual with the lowest score following the three-round regional tournament will advance to compete in the NCAA National Championship Tournament May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

The NCAA Chapel Hill Regional will conclude on Wednesday (May 13), with Patterson teeing off from hole 10 at 9:50 a.m.
