Big South To Send 32 to NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East First Round
The Big South Conference will be represented by 32 student-athletes at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East First Round meet in Lexington, Ky. The meet will be held May 27-30 at the University of Kentucky's Outdoor Track & Field Complex. The East First Round features the top 48 student-athletes in the eastern region in each event, with the top 12 finishers qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., which will be held June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon. The Big South will have 17 women's competitors across 12 events, along with 15 men's participants in 10 different events.
Big South Decathlon Champion
Cole Wilson of High Point made the top 24 list in the event and will go straight to the NCAA Championships. Wilson secured his spot at the NCAA Championships after recording a program- and Big South Championship Meet record 7,777 points at the Big South Outdoor Championships on May 12, 2026. He is ranked 13th nationally in the decathlon.
