WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Big South Champion Presbyterian Blue Hose saw one of the most successful seasons in school history end with the third round of the NCAA Regionals at the Bermuda Run Country Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Wednesday afternoon.
Presbyterian finished in 13th place with a three-round score of 873 (+23). The Blue Hose recorded a third-round score of 293 (+9). Virginia and Pepperdine tied for the regional title with three-round scores of 816 (-36). Ole Miss, Southern Cal, and Mississippi State rounded out the five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships. Virginia's Ben James won the Regionals Individual title with a three-round score of 194 (-19).
NOTABLES
- Sophomore Richard Anaclerio paced the Blue Hose, finishing in a tie for 50th place with a three-round score of 217 (+4). In the final round, Anaclerio recorded a 72 (+1) with one birdie and 15 pars.
- Sophomore Jeep Patrick finished tied for 52nd place with a three-round score of 218 (+5). In the final round, he tallied a 73 (+2) with four birdies and 10 pars.
- Sophomore Gage Gaskins finished tied for 62nd place with a three-round score of 220 (+7). Gaskins posted a score of 78 (+7) with three birdies and eight pars on his final round.
- Junior Spence Hagood finished tied for 64th place with a three-round score of 221 (+8). In the final round, he posted a score of 73 (+2) with three birdies and 11 pars.
- Junior Avery Barnes saw his first action of the Regional, shooting a 75 (+4) with one birdie and 12 pars on his round.
