USC Upstate Selected for NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional as No. 3 Seed

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Upon earning its second straight Big South Conference Tournament Championship, USC Upstate baseball's NCAA Regional destination and opponents have been revealed.
The Spartans slot in the Tuscaloosa Regional, earning the No. 3 seed. Upstate matches up with No. 2 seed Oklahoma State Friday afternoon. No. 1 seed Alabama (No. 7 National Seed) and No. 4 seed Alabama State also comprise the Tuscaloosa Regional field.
Upstate enters the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the country, going 14-2 in the month of May. During the final month of the season, the Spartans posted a .325 batting average, .527 slugging percentage, and 3.77 ERA.
