Kennesaw State Wins 2021 Big South Football Championship

Kennesaw State won the 2021 Big South Football Championship with its 49-17 defeat of Monmouth on Saturday afternoon inside Fifth Third Bank Stadium.  The win gives the Owls their third Big South Championship in the last five seasons and first since 2018, and clinches the league's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs.  Kennesaw State also becomes the first team in Big South history to finish 7-0 in conference games.  Elsewhere, Robert Morris defeated Campbell in overtime, 20-17, while Gardner-Webb closed its season with a 35-27 win at North Carolina A&T.  North Alabama claimed a 35-27 win at Hampton, and Charleston Southern fell at FBS No. 1 Georgia.
