Big South Announces Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week - Feb. 23

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) Campbell redshirt-freshman attacker Ally Heath (Kent Island, Md.) has been named the Big South Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate defender Kennedy Boyle (Bedford, N.H.) is the Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 15-21, it was announced today.  In addition, Camel attacker Julianna Sanchez (Annapolis, Md.) was named the Freshman of the Week.

Heath provided a pair of goals and assists in Campbell’s 15-5 rout of Stetson on Saturday.  Three of Heath’s four points came during the Camels’ decisive 7-0 second-half run to put the match out of reach.

Boyle paced the Campbell defense with three ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers in CU’s win over the Hatters.  She was a key component of a defense that allowed just five goals and eight shots on target.

Sanchez tied a school record with 13 draw controls and added two goals, an assist and three ground balls in Saturday’s win over Stetson.  Her 13 draw control wins tied for second-most in Big South history.
