CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Kennesaw State senior Tommy Bryant (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) has been named the Big South Football Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate linebacker Bryson Armstrong (Marietta, Ga.) is the Defensive Player of the Week for games played during the league’s fourth week of the spring season.  KSU kicker Nathan Robertson (Columbus, Ga.) is the Special Teams Player of the Week, and Owls’ defensive back Cade Loden (St. Mary’s, Ga.) is the Freshman of the Week.

Bryant finished with 174 yards of offense with 97 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with 77 passing yards, in leading the Owls to a 37-27 win over Dixie State on Saturday.  Both touchdown runs were from the 1-yard line, and he had a long rush of 18 on the afternoon.

Armstrong had a game-high 11 tackles (seven solo stops) in helping the Owls hold Dixie State to its season-low for offensive yardage.  His 11 stops were a season-high and marked his first double-digit tackle game of the spring season.

Robertson scored 13 points on a perfect 7-of-7 placekicks in Saturday’s 37-27 victory over Dixie State.  In addition to hitting all four PAT attempts, Robertson made field goals of 23, 30 and 30 yards to help Kennesaw State overcome an early 7-0 deficit.

Loden scooped up a fumble and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown early in the second quarter to give Kennesaw State its first lead of the game at 10-7 that the Owls would never relinquish.
