GEICO Alumni Showcase: Tom Gamble
High Point University alumnus and 2020 HPU Hall of Fame Inductee
Tom Gamble '87 was recently hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a Senior Personnel Executive.
Gamble will assist the Jaguars' general manager in all areas of player development and is entering his 30th season in the NFL. He most recently served as an assistant general manager for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League in 2020 after serving as a senior advisor to the head coach and player personnel at the University of Michigan for three years.
Prior to his stint back in college, Gamble held positions with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens.
Gamble was a pitcher for the Panthers in the 80s and recorded 20 wins in his career, the eighth-most in program history. He threw a program-record 17 complete games and totaled 257.1 innings from 1984-87, the 10th-most innings pitched in HPU's history.
