#1 High Point Knocks Off #5 Gardner-Webb, Advances to Title Match
Led by Abby Hormes' eight goals, top-seeded High Point advances to sixth-straight Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship final, as the Panthers earned a 25-15 victory over fifth-seeded Gardner-Webb Friday afternoon at Vert Stadium.
With the win, High Point claimed its ninth-straight win and will play for its seventh conference title and the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers' 25 goals are most scored in a Big South Championship match.
