Big South Announces Women's Tennis Players of the Week - Feb. 1

Anna-Marie Kopecka (Prague, Czech Republic) has been named the Big South Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, while UNC Asheville’s
Elizabeth Tindera (Dana, Ind.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for matches played Jan. 23-29, it was announced today.
Kopecka won at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles last week to help Campbell to a 4-3 victory over UNC Greensboro on Saturday. She first earned a 6-3 win with Abbie Taylor in doubles, then won in three sets over her singles opponent, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 for a key point in the match.
Tindera was 4-0 in her two appearances last week. She first won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles and 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles against Emmanuel (Ga.) on Saturday. On Sunday vs. Wofford, Tindera tallied a 7-5 doubles triumph on the number three court, and defeated her No. 3 singles counterpart, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to help the Bulldogs to a 6-1 win over the Terriers.
