Big South Announces Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Feb. 20

Drew Pember (Knoxville, Tenn.) has been named the Big South Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Campbell guard
Anthony Dell’Orso (Melbourne, Australia) is the Freshman of the Week for games played Feb. 13-19, it was announced today.
Pember led the Bulldogs to wins over second-place Radford and third-place Gardner-Webb with 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.0 steals to capture the outright regular-season championship. He posted a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double in Saturday’s clinching win over the Runnin’ Bulldogs. Pember opened his week with 19 points, nine boards, four blocks, three assists and two steals in Thursday’s victory at Radford. For the week, he was 12-of-23 from the field ( =52.2 percent) and 15-of-19 from the charity stripe ( =78.9).
Dell’Orso averaged 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the floor in two wins last week. He first scored 10 points and pulled down four rebounds in a 67-51 win over Charleston Southern on Wednesday. Dell’Orso then tied for the team lead with 17 points in a 74-57 victory over Presbyterian. He added four caroms and matched his career-high with four assists.
