Big South Announces Women's Tennis Players of the Week - Feb. 8

Ami Grace Dougah (Lawrenceville, Ga.) has been named the Big South Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate
Avery Sager (Waxhaw, N.C.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for matches played Jan. 30-Feb. 5, it was announced today.
Dougah was a combined 3-1 in helping the Bulldogs win two matches last week. She earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles vs. Tusculum last Thursday. Dougah then collected wins on the No. 1 court in both doubles (6-1) and singles (6-0, 6-4) in Asheville’s 4-3 triumph over Davidson on Saturday.
Sager earned two, three-set victories in singles last week. She first won on the No. 4 court against Tusculum, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, then rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win on the No. 5 court to clinch the team’s victory over Davidson.
