Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - April 6

Kayla Benge (Plainfield, Ind.) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while High Point’s
Ella Perna (Durham, N.C.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for events played March 30-April 5, it was announced today.
Benge notched a career-best third-place finish at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate (par 72, 6,213 yards) with a 6-over 222 (73-74-75). She was second in par-4 scoring (+2), led the field with 38 pars, and rolled in seven birdies to help Asheville to a fifth-place team finish.
Perna was High Point’s top golfer at the Pinetree CC Women’s Collegiate (par 72, 6,136 yards) with a 7-over 223 (77-73-73). She finished 17th overall on the leaderboard, and tied for the third-most birdies with 11 -- including five in her final round.
