Seedings and Pairings Announced for 2023 Big South Baseball Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Campbell University has secured the No. 1 seed in the 2023 Big South Baseball Championship, it was determined following the conclusion of the conference season this afternoon.  The top four teams in the final standings qualify for the league’s postseason championship, which will be contested May 25-27 at Truist Point in High Point, N.C.  It is the fifth consecutive tournament that the Camels have earned the top seed, as they won the regular-season championship today with their 22-5 Big South record.
 
USC Upstate finished one game back behind Campbell in the Big South standings at 21-6, and will be the No. 2 seed for the third-straight year.  Winthrop and Gardner-Webb tied for third at 15-12, and the Eagles claimed the No. 3 seed based on their 2-1 series victory over the Runnin’ Bulldogs.  Gardner-Webb is the No. 4 and final seed in this year’s tournament.
 
The 2023 Big South Baseball Championship begins Thursday, May 25 with two games scheduled and concludes Saturday, May 27 with two potential Championship contests starting at 12:00pm.  Every game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with the exception of Saturday’s 12:00pm game airing on ESPNU.  The Big South’s champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Baseball Championship.  Tickets can be purchased through the High Point Rockers, and live in-game statistics will be available on www.BigSouthSports.com.  The Conference Championship schedule is below and is subject to change due to weather.
