USC Upstate picked up two shutout victories on Friday to clinch its spot in next week's Big South Softball Championship, as the Spartans sweep Presbyterian, 8-0 and 4-0. Charleston Southern posted a 1-0 shutout over Winthrop, while Gardner-Webb and Radford split a twinbill. GWU won the opener, 8-2, with the Highlanders prevailing in the nightcap, 8-4.
