Big South Softball Summary - May 6
Campbell clinched a share of its third-straight Big South regular-season title after splitting its doubleheader against Longwood, Saturday at Lancer Field. The Camels won the opener, 4-3, before Longwood prevailed in game two, 6-1. The winner of Sunday's finale will earn the No. 1 seed in next week's Softball Championship. Charleston Southern completed a sweep for the first time this season, as the Bucs downed Winthrop, 2-1 and 4-3 to clinch the final spot in the conference tournament. USC Upstate's Alyssa Kelly hurled her first career no-hitter as the Spartans completed the three game sweep of Presbyterian, 8-0. Upstate has locked up the No. 3 seed in next week's Championship tournament. Gardner-Webb took down Radford, 4-2 in front of its home fans in the season finale Saturday.
