Big South Announces Men's Tennis Players of the Week - Feb. 14
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – UNC Asheville’s Sam Nicholson (Brighton, England) has been named the Big South Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 5-11, it was announced today.
Nicholson collected 6-3 doubles wins over Wofford and East Tennessee State at the No. 2 spot last week. In Thursday's match against the Terriers, he secured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Nicholson then competed at No. 2 singles in Friday’s match against ETSU, where he secured another straight-set victory, 7-5, 6-3. Nicholson’s efforts helped the Bulldogs remain undefeated as the squad is currently 6-0.
Also nominated for Big South Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: Eduardo Dias (Gardner-Webb), and Timéo Puech (Longwood).
