Big South Announces Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 10

Sophie Magson (Essex, London) was selected as the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, while High Point thrower
Letizia Marsico (Germany) earned Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors. UNC Asheville’s
Isabel Richardson (Huddersfield, England) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week.
Magson was runner-up in the 3000m Steeplechase at the Colonial Relays with a time of 10:47.20. The effort ranks second in Radford history, is the top time in the Big South this season, and is 40th on the NCAA East Outdoor Qualifying List.
Marsico placed seventh in the women's discus throw at the VertKlasse Meeting with a personal-best distance of 47.72m -- which ranks second in the conference this year. She later placed 12th in the shot put throwing 13.57m.
Richardson clocked a school-record in the 1,500m run with a time of 4:32.21 at the Tennessee Invitational. She finished sixth overall in making her outdoor debut, and her performance is second-best in the Big South this spring.
