Longwood, Radford and High Point evened their respective Big South series on Saturday, while UNC Asheville clinched its series with Gardner-Webb.

Longwood plated four runs in the seventh and eighth to even the series with USC Upstate Saturday evening. The Lancers (21-27) used a late spark thanks to a home run and three straight singles to set up a rubber match with the Spartans (31-20) on Sunday. Tanner Thomas started the rally in the seventh when he blasted his first home run of the season to energize the Lancers offense. Keondre Shelton, Ryan Perez, and Noah Campanelli all singled, and the Lancers took game two 9-7.

The Radford Baseball team defeated Charleston Southern 7-4 in game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at Nielsen Field at CSU Ballpark. In the first, the Highlanders would score three runs to get things started in game two of the series. Cameron Pittman would leadoff the Highlanders with a triple to right field and later be brought home by a Zack Whitacre RBI single to center field. Mason Self would single to center field and move Whitacre to second and Hunter Keen would score the pair after he doubled down the left field line to make it a 3-0 game heading to the bottom of the inning. The Buccaneers would get one back to make it 3-1 leaving the frame.

The Panthers recognized 16 seniors on senior day this afternoon as the High Point University baseball team defeat Winthrop, 11-7. High Point also broke the single-season home run record as Peyton Carr hit the teams 78th long ball of the season. Brett Wozniak took the ball to start game two of the three game series verse the Winthrop Eagles. Wozniak shoved 5.1 innings, allowing six runs, on nine hits, and earning himself the win to improve his record to 7-1. After Wozniak got out of the first with no damage, Konni Durschlag started off the Panthers bats with a hard-hit single through the left side. Cael Chatham then sent a bases clearing double to the right field corner as the speedy Durschlag scored from first to give the Panthers an early lead. The next man up was Carr who shot one up the middle to score Chatham. With one out, Charlie Klingler sent a stand up double to the left center wall to score Adam Stuart from first for a 3-0 HPU lead.

UNC Asheville Baseball secured a Big South Conference series win over Gardner-Webb on Senior Day on Saturday (May 11) at Greenwood Field by a score of 12-4. Gardner-Webb struck for two runs in the first inning, before Asheville combined for seven runs through the first two innings. Robbie Burnett brought home Ty Kaufman on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first, before a Michael Groves double scored Corbin Lanowitz to tie the game 2-2 in the first. With one out in the second, Brock Mercado doubled to left center before later scoring on a Kolby Watson single to right center. Ty Kaufman dropped a single to right, before Burnett drew a two-out walk to load the bases. Cameron Johnson punctuated his Senior Day with a grand slam to left to increase Asheville's lead to 7-2.
