Big South Announces Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Sept. 23

Camila Lezcano (Miami, Fla.) is the Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 16-22, it was announced today. In addition, Gardner-Webb defender
Anya Tribune (Charlotte, N.C.) has been selected as the Freshman of the Week.
McNabb recorded a hat trick, including the game-winner, in Sunday’s 7-2 victory over South Carolina State. The East Maitland, Australia native scored in the 12th, 53rd, and 83rd minutes, becoming the first Bulldog freshman since 2002 to score three goals in a match. McNabb, who had one goal this season entering Sunday's match, set a new career-high with six points.
Lezcano scored twice while helping Gardner-Webb post a 4-0 shutout win over South Carolina State. The junior netted her first goal of the season in the 40th minute in Thursday's game, followed by another in the 55th. Lezcano also anchored a Runnin’ Bulldog defense that allowed just three total shots, with only one on target.
Tribune recorded three points with a goal and an assist in Gardner-Webb’s win over South Carolina State. The freshman scored the game-winner just 3:20 into the match, marking her third goal of the season. She later assisted on the team’s fourth goal, her first career assist. As a defender, Tribune also contributed to the Runnin’ Bulldogs’ second shutout of the season.
