Mercer Draws Florida In NCAA Tournament

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team earned its seventh bid into the NCAA Tournament and will head to Gainesville, Florida to play the No. 4 seed Florida Gators on Friday, May 9. First draw is set for 4 p.m. from Ronald R. Dizney Stadium.
The winner will advance to the Second Round on Sunday to play the winner of Denver vs Stanford.
The Bears won their fourth straight Big South Tournament championship on Sunday with a 16-8 win over High Point. Kayla Casey was named the tournament's MVP after recording a career high tying 12 saves in the win.
Mercer will look to defeat Florida for the first time in program history as the Gators are 6-0 against the Bears. The two teams met earlier this season on March 15 in Macon, in a 22-9 win for Florida.
